Just a single picture from yesterday’s walk – another of those shorter walks which took in a stretch of old railway track. We have had a lot of rain recently so everything was very wet and I spotted this brightly coloured leaf just laying on its own in a patch of what was mainly mud with a few other rotting leaves. I just loved the way the brightness stood out against the dark blues and browns of the surrounding ground, much in the way a beacon would stand out in the darkness of night.
There is always some brightness if you look for it.
This shot was taken with my phone because I didn’t even take my camera with me…..which is unusual in itself 🙂 ! Its great that phones have such good cameras these days!
Thanks for stopping by.

No color left here, mostly the brown of vegetation and the white of snow.
Yes, most of ours is like that, but without the snow 😦
Lovely picture. I like the idea that there is always some brightness if we look for it.
Thank you, you are very kind. I know we sometimes have to look for the colour in life, but its always there and it is better than just seeing mud.
Castleman Trailway?
Yes it was 🙂
Beautiful photo. I love the contrasting colours.
Thanks Lynette 🙂
