The Old and the New

A lone leaf, last year’s leaf, clings stoically to its beech twig whilst this years new buds plump up on the same twig. Soon those buds will burst into fresh new growth – will that lone leaf then be forced to let go?

Taken during a great walk today in fantastically spring like weather. After all the grey and wet days, today has been awesome! Spring has arrived folks 🙂 ! Even my tortoises have woken up 🙂 !
