Sunset Sky over King Down

Sunset Sky
Sunset over King Down

This was an awesome evening last week. I had been walking over King Down as the sun was going down and the somewhat cloudy sky suddenly lit up with colour and sunbeams. This place has such a lovely open feeling about it to me, especially when the skylarks are out, and this sky just emphasised that spacious airiness. It was a BIG sky that left me awestruck!

King Down is not high, it’s one of those rolling hills that typify much of Dorset. With two remaining burial mounds right on the top, it is a place with a history. Standing there, you can almost feel that history in the air. It always seems a special place!

Thanks for stopping by and reading my ramblings.

Until next time,
